About Me
My name is Amanda. Growing up, I was always surrounded by animals: dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, gerbils, mice, guinea pigs, etc. I was a major animal lover and decided that I wanted to do something with my life that involved animals. So I eventually got into the Veterinary and Animal control field for a short time. Unfortunately, I no longer work in that field, but I still love animals with a passion.
Another of my passions is video games. Video games are a huge part of my life, and most of the people in my life today are people I met through the game, World of Warcraft. That is where the name Epic Quest came from. I have traveled as far as California for conventions, and one of the ones I go to the most is Blizzcon which is in Anaheim, CA. I normally go every year they have it, because these people I've met over the many, many years of going, have become my family.

After my mom passed away in January of 2017, I decided that I wanted to open my heart to my very first ACTUAL purebred and well bred puppy. I looked into numerous breeds, Australian Shepherds, Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Boxers, but finally my heart decided on the Standard Poodle when a friend of mine recommended to me Rose City Standard Poodles.
Kathy from Rose City was very helpful, she let me know that she was having a litter in July for her bitch Harlow who I fell in love with after seeing pictures. Harlow, was also related to my friend's poodle, Gisele, as they were sisters from the same litter. I placed a deposit down on the Harlow x Logan litter of 2017 and had my eye on three of the girls the entire time. In the end, I chose red collar girl, then named Ally, and renamed her Shae. BUT, Kathy from Rose City, also had another litter that had been born only a month before in June, and she still had one female puppy out of that litter. I kept going back and forth and in the end I decided to take her too. And that is how I became the proud fur mom, of my Shae and my Zoe.
And you know how they say, sometimes dogs save your life? Well, I am pretty sure both these girls saved my life. I was experiencing some pretty terrible depression after losing my mom, and they helped me get my life back on track.

Originally, both were intended to just be my furbabies and pets. However, in April of 2018, I decided to travel to Athens, Tennessee to a dog show to see my breeder and see what all this hubabaloo was about dog showing! I had always watched dog shows on TV, but never really thought of myself as the type to parade a dog around the ring! Well.. I was hooked instantly.
Since then, I have competed in many shows, and I'm still learning to this day. Both of my girls from Rose City, are Grand Champion titled in UKC and Shae has even won a Best in Show! Both are also Rally titled and SPOT titled and we are working on our Fast CAT titles right now, with probably 2-3 more runs needed between them. I would like to do Lure coursing and dock diving and agility in the future.
I had my first litter in May of 2021 from Zoe. She blessed me with seven beautiful puppies and I kept a solid boy and a parti-colored girl. They had their first show at the Virginia Classic in December of 2021 and I couldn't have been more proud hearing judges comments about the dogs I've produced.
I have now produced three bred-by UKC CHs, all three are working towards their UKC grands. This isn't where it stops, and I hope you follow along on my epic quest.
